The narration is performed by Jeff Hays and Annie Ellicott. While this series already had a top-of-the-order voice actor in Jeff, they brought in another strong addition in Annie for the female characters. It is now a more wholesome experience knowing we have a female voicing the female characters.
The citizens of Azurvale are finally starting to feel the pressure of the war. The Empire to the south isn’t friendly, and then there is talk about the city’s adventurers being involved in the campaign. Though it seems like the war is inevitable and promises to be deadly, there’s little the townsfolk can do about it. Rather than worry about it, they instead go about their way as if nothing’s wrong.
As the people try to remain normal, they have yet to find what their capital is threatened by. However, it isn’t under attack by some war-mongering tribe, yet it is a certain individual seeking knowledge, profit, power, and asylum through any means.
As the newcomer swiftly goes through the city’s underbelly, it hardly cares about the people in its way. Any unfortunate bystanders would be doomed to have their life ruined if they crossed paths with Boxxy T. Morningwood.
If you liked the first three books then you know what the deal is and you’re going to love this 4th book. it is an enjoyable story and worthy addition to the series.
