Human Made

I've been playing video games pretty much nonstop ever since I got my first 360. I love arena shooters, MMOs, and MOBAs, but I'll pretty much try any kind of game.

The 5 Best Decks for Arena 10, Ranked in No Particular Order

Each one of these decks is sure to serve you well as you climb through Arena 10. We’ll include several deck options here which represent some of the powerful decks in the Arena 10 meta. Let’s get started with a deck that truly represents Hog Mountain.

1. Hog Cycle

Clash Royale: Best Decks for Arena 10 Hog Mountain (2024) (5)

Hog Cycle is one deck archetype that you’ll find in every arena (after Hog Rider himself is unlocked). The deck’s goal is to play as many Hog Riders as possible, cycling through cheap cards to draw more. This deck requires you to play a more defensive style than you might expect, as you have to make the most out of each card to win. Since Hog Rider is your only win con, the rest of the deck functions as both support for Hog Rider and defense against your opponents’ pushes.

It’s obvious how Hog Rider is best used–just drop him on the bridge and hope he connects with a tower. Your opponents will have to respond, otherwise he can take out most of a tower on his own. Then, judge your next play based on how they respond. Musketeer and Hunter are your strongest defensive cards. Musketeer can take care of flying units and Hunter is able to burst down tanks like nothing. Hunter can also target flying units, so don’t forget about that either. Goblin Gang is a strong swarm that helps defend against any kind of push, but they are weak to most spells. If your opponent has Zap or Barbarian Barrel, don’t get too attached to the Gang.

Cannon is the strongest building for this deck since it’s cheap and puts out solid damage, and Skeletons and Ice Golem both exist as distractions. Skeletons is only 1 Elixir so it’s an efficient counter for land units that will target them. Ice Golem also distracts better than most, and can even lead enemies on a slow chase across the arena as he progresses toward the nearest building.

Hog Cycle is a deceptively difficult deck to play, but it’s also one of the best. It only gets better as you climb arenas, so it’s a deck you can stick with all the way to the Legendary Arena.

2. Elite Counter Push

Here’s a deck that’s actually quite similar to Hog Cycle, but feels much different. The focus of this deck are the Elite Barbarians, who move quick and deal unbelievable damage. Elite Barbarians are explosively powerful, but equally risky. Since they can be countered fairly easily, you have to learn your opponents deck and playstyle to beat them.

In addition to the powerful Elite Barbarians, you also have the Royal Hogs as a win con in this deck. This helps keep your enemies on their toes. Royal Hogs only target buildings, so they’re helpful in different situations. In-between playing your two win cons, you have several cards to primarily defend with. Mega Minion is great for taking out air troops and staying alive for the counter push, while the normal Minions do more damage but can be defeated easier. Tombstone and Skeleton Army are your last two defensive cards, with Tombstone distracting building-targeting units and the Army making easy work of tanks. Bomber can also defend, but it’s more intended for supporting your win cons. Just don’t forget about it’s defensive possibilities if need be.

3. X-Bow Control

Clash Royale: Best Decks for Arena 10 Hog Mountain (2024) (7)

X-Bow is one of the best cards for people who want to exercise full dominance over the battlefield. The X-Bow has the unique ability to damage enemy towers from your side of the arena, completely out of range of their defenses. To do this, just drop X-Bow near the bridge/river and be prepared to back it up with everything you’ve got.

The second building in this deck, Tesla, pairs up perfectly with X-Bow. Tesla is the best card to defend X-Bow, since it deals great damage and goes back underground to avoid spells. Tesla is more than capable of clearing up many threats to X-Bow, which is why they’re usually paired. Dart Goblin, Archers, and Minions are all great support units that can take out both air and ground defenses, and all three are cheap enough to play in a pinch. Knight is the tank of the deck, and at only 3 Elixir it’s surprisingly efficient at soaking up damage. Then your Goblins back it up nicely and can handle most tanks or building-targeting units.

Then there’s the Rocket. Since the main purpose of X-Bow is to damage enemy towers, Rocket is perfect for helping with that agenda. X-Bow won’t usually last long enough to drop towers on its own since people target it so hard, but they can’t do anything about the Rocket spell. At this time (June 2023), it does 371 tower damage at tournament level (Level 11). All you’ll need is a handful of rockets to finish up any games X-Bow can’t finish off itself.

4. Royal Giant Push

Clash Royale: Best Decks for Arena 10 Hog Mountain (2024) (8)

Royal Giant is one of the strongest win cons in the game, especially when backed up with the right support. Since Royal Giant is a tank, he’s harder to stop than a lot of other win cons. This, plus the massive chunks of damage he does in every shot, makes him an easy pick to base a deck around.

The strategy for Royal Giant is pretty straightforward. You’ll mostly want to drop him right on the bridge so he gets to the tower as soon as possible. After you’ve taken out one tower, you can drop Royal Giant on the opposite side of the field to easily drop the other princess tower. That makes this one of the strongest decks for getting 3-Crown victories.

The backup for Royal Giant needs to consist heavily of swarm control, since that’s the most common counter for him. When you drop Royal Giant, have Barbarian Barrel ready to go if they drop a Skeleton Army or other weak swarm on him. Fire Spirit helps a lot against smaller groups of weak enemies, and Goblin Gang is just generally good backup in any situation. Then you can use Hunter and Dark Prince to clear up any troops that manage to get onto your side, then use them in a counter push with Royal Giant! The last card, Skeleton Barrel, is a building-targeting unit that acts as a second win con. Some decks can counter Royal Giant very easily, so having a second win con is essential.

5. Golem

Clash Royale: Best Decks for Arena 10 Hog Mountain (2024) (9)

Defending against a Golem push can be one of the most difficult things to correctly in Clash Royale. Golem is a very high-HP tank that moves slower than any other troop in the game. That means you can place him far in the back of your arena and have time to regain enough Elixir to properly defend it as it crosses the bridge. Golem also splits into two smaller versions when killed, making him even more difficult to defeat.

Witch is one of the best support troops for Golem, since she both spawns skeletons (which serve as great distractions) and does splash damage to ground and air troops. Once you’ve got a Golem with a Witch behind it as support, you can use a card like Zappies or Battle Healer for even more backup. In terms of defending, all of the support cards here handle that pretty well. Dart Goblin and Witch are both good air defense options, and Goblins and Battle Healer help greatly with land troops.

Furnace is a good source of poke damage and also creates a swarm-clearing Fire Spirit, so it’s definitely the best for Golem decks. And Barbarian Barrel is great for clearing weak swarms on the ground, so remember it if your Golem doesn’t have a Witch for backup.
